Miho Suzuki is an Emmy-nominated makeup artist from Nagoya, Japan,

whose most recent work can be seen as the makeup designer/department

head in Apple TV’s new series Lessons in Chemistry.

Suzuki’s credits as a makeup department head include the films Charlie

Says, starring Matt Smith, and Steven Soderbergh’s HBO thriller Kimi,

starring Zoë Kravitz. Additionally, Suzuki worked as an assistant makeup

department head on Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, where she was

responsible for the makeup looks for Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet,

Eliza Scanlen, Bob Odenkirk and more, Amazon Studios’ Encounter, as well

as 20th Century Studios’ Amsterdam, which recently earned her a MUAHS

Guild Award nomination for Best Period and/or Character Makeup in a

Feature-Length Motion Picture for the makeup looks she was in charge for

Anya Taylor-Joy and Michael Shannon.

In 2021, Suzuki won the MUAHS Guild Award for Best Contemporary

Makeup in a Feature-Length Motion Picture for Warner Bros’ Birds of Prey,

where she designed the looks for Rosie Perez and Jurnee Smollet as the

film’s key makeup artist. She was also the key makeup artist on Paramount’s

80 for Brady, where she was in charge of the makeup looks for Rita Moreno.

Additionally, Suzuki’s television credits include High Fidelity and Big Little

Lies, where she worked as the personal makeup artist to Zoë Kravitz. In

2020, Suzuki received the Emmy nomination for Outstanding

Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) for Big Little Lies.

Suzuki’s other recent work can be seen in Marvel Studios’ new film The

Marvels, where she was the personal makeup artist to Brie Larson.
